Five Pics for Friday!

We're down to seven, friends!!!  Seven more days of school!

Here's a little recap of my week, Five for Friday style :)

Today we had a cupcake party!  You might remember I threw one last year... it was so yummy I knew I had to do it again!  This year I had help, and one of my friends baked fun tie-dye cupcakes.  DELICIOUS.  The pics above are of MY cupcake :)  Strawberry frosting, marshmallows, M&Ms, oh my!

One of my littles made this one... chocolate all the way!  Even the marshmallows are chocolate flavored!

Today we also worked on our Father's Day donuts.  The kids ate it right up {pun intended} and had so much fun making these treats for their dads!

This one does not include the word "athletic" because, as one of my sweeties informed me, her dad "is NOT athletic, so I'm not going to put that one!"  I thought that was too funny!!

We worked on this Signs of Summer acrostic poem, too.  The green reads:
Sand castle
I'm Under the water
Manicure are good
Milkshakes
I can Eat fruit
It is Really hot

and the white one reads:
Sunshine out
Under the sand
Manicure color red
Melting ice cream
Eat fruit
Read in the shade
{^ LOVE that she included reading!!}

Those cupcakes look amazing! Great idea to have 4 parties a year - I only found your blog (and awesome crafts) in the fall so I enjoyed reading your post from last year.
I can't believe you are still in school! But the end is in sight....and I'll be super jealous in August when we have to go back and you still have vacation time!

Five days left until vacation for me... unfortunately it's for Winter and not Summer! :(

I love your cupcake party idea. I've been trying to decide on an end of semester celebration idea and I think decorating a cupcake might be the winner!

I'm loving the donut craft. We are out of school but I think I will have my lil' sweet make that for her daddy. Thanks for sharing!

My friend Jo-Anna at a A Pretty Life blog just made the most incredible strawberry cupcakes...http://www.aprettylifeinthesuburbs.com/strawberry-cupcakes-with-strawberry-buttercream-gluten-free/.

They are on my summer to-bake list.

Those Father's Day donuts are super cute. Pinning that.

Hope you have a great last week of school, Teri!

I am loving the idea of a cupcake party! So glad I found your blog! And the doughnuts for dad are just too cute! I always feel bad that Dads seem to get a tad bit left out since we get out of school in May so I'm thinking we may have to give dads an early Father's Day gift next year! Thank you for sharing! Hope your next 7 days are a blast (and fast!:))
