Happy Holidays!  Summer celebrated her first Christmas this year!!  She had a great time opening presents {just like her momma!} and it was so special to see the holiday through her eyes.  Such a happy girl!!  Just look at that SMILE!!  #gorgeousbaby #andspoiledtoo

Now that the New Year is right around the corner, I decided it was time to finally update my Happy New Year hat craftivity!  It's totally FREE, so head on over to my TpT shop and grab the updated patterns for 2015!

And even though Chinese New Year isn't for a bit yet {it's in February this year}, my craftivity and printable pack has also been updated for 2015!  Stop by my TpT shop to learn more or purchase a copy for your classroom!

Now it's time to love on my baby some more :)  Have a great night!!
My online shopping addiction has gotten... worse :)... in the last year or so.  The UPS guy visits my house daily often and my mailbox is stuffed full of USPS deliveries as well.  What's pushing my shopping addiction over the edge?  Being a mommy, of course!!  Baby girl gets deliveries of clothes, headbands, books, you name it!  And most recently...
Freshly Picked moccasins!!  The team at Freshly Picked sent Summer a pair of moccasins to try out and review.  She must like them--  in the above photo, she is about to put the moccasins in her mouth!  Silly girl :)
24 week photoshoot!
Little one doesn't want to sit still :)

Freshly Picked moccasins come in a wide variety of colors, from soft pinks to navy blues to pretty metallics.  Picking just one color was hard, but we finally decided on a sparkly neutral called Merci.  Here is a close-up of the shoes {in a new photo location}:
The moccasins are soft and flexible, making them super easy to put on.  I can only imagine they are super comfortable, too!  Do they come in my size?!

Summer loves to stand and jump {with support} in her pretty shoes!
Aren't they just adorable?!  Word on the street is that Santa is bringing Summer two more pair-- neon pink and ivory-- for Christmas.  Hehe :)

A little more on the moccasins, from the Freshly Picked website:
"Freshly Picked moccasins feature a unique design with elastic at the opening. Our shoes are easy to put on, easy to take off, and most importantly: stay on your child’s foot. Our soft-soled shoes are made with durable leather and are suitable for infants and toddlers alike. Moccasins fit true to size and are available in children sizes 1 - 10."

Now for the best part!  The team at Freshly Picked has offered up a pair of mocs for a giveaway!  One lucky winner will get to choose one pair in any color and size!  This contest is only open to residents of the US and Canada due to shipping costs.  Also, you are not eligible to enter if you’ve won a pair of FP moccasins in the last 60 days.  You can take a look at all the different moccasins available {HERE}.  Good luck!!

At work, there are nine of us who eat lunch together just about everyday.  These gals are my close teacher friends-- we all look so forward to that short 40 minute lunch!!  We talk, we laugh... and every year during the holidays, we add a little gift giving into the mix!

Since there are so many of us, we organize a Secret Santa gift exchange.  We use Elfster to randomly generate our Secret Santa recipient.  It's great because you can mark who had who the year before so everyone gets someone different.  Then we each fill out this little form that I created, to aide in the gift buying process!

To keep it secret, everyone gets a copy of ALL the forms... it's fun to see what everyone wished for!  And, we like to drop fake hints to throw our friends off our trail ;)

Since my girls and I are greedy like to give gifts so much {hehe}, we do mini exchanges during lunch for three weeks leading up to Christmas break.  We keep these gifts at $5-10 each.  Our last gift is the BIG one, and we set a limit of $50.  For the final exchange, we all get together for dinner!  It's going to be SO much fun!!

It's not too late to organize your own Secret Santa gift exchange!!  You can download the above form for FREE from my TpT shop!  If you grab it, be sure to leave some love!

Our first exchange is tomorrow... I'm so excited to see what my first gift is!! ;)
It's that time of year again...

In other news... :)

I have been working on a new series of products, and I'm finally ready to share the first installment!  Let me introduce you to... Sprint Prints!  {I can't take credit for the title... my hubby was helping me think of something catchy, and out popped Sprint Prints!}

These themed printables are great to grab in a pinch! Fast finishers, morning work, time-fillers... however you use them, your kiddos are sure to love these activities! Included are 15 fun printables to keep your students engaged during the month of December. There is also a BONUS present craftivity inside!!

There are three options for the writing portion of the craftivity, plus a blank prompt for you to title how you choose!  And if you're wondering how I chose the font for, "All I Want for Christmas," it was all Summer.  She slammed her hand on the clicker while I was font surfing... and I liked her choice!!

If you are interested in grabbing a copy of Sprint Prints! December or just want to learn more, head to my little TpT shop!

I also included this pack of December printables in my new Growing Bundle:

The Growing Bundle currently includes the months of November and December... but will eventually include printables and craftivities for ALL 12 months!  It's priced to SAVE, too!  It's 20% less than the total price of all 12 months combined... AND less the price of November, so it's like getting November for free!

Some of you might already own November's version, because I made it last year under the name "Just Print It!"  I decided to change the name and include it in the Sprint Prints Growing Bundle.  That's why I made November's pack free if you decide to buy the bundle and already have November... make sense?!  I hope so!!  :) :)

Well, I hope you LOVE this new product series!!  Leave a comment below for a chance to win the BUNDLE!  I will choose a winner TONIGHT at 10pm EST.  Good luck {and don't forget to include your email address}! Congrats to #22, Melissa!
Well, it's about time!!!  It's November 4th and I have yet to post pictures of my classroom!  Long story short, our school was having work done {new windows!} and teachers only had TWO days-- yes, two-- to get our rooms in order.  And, I haven't felt that it was complete until now.  Sort of.  So with our further ado... my room :)

I had this bulletin board up at the beginning of last year with every intention of changing it monthly... that never happened!  Now it's a permanent staple in front of my room {Wall #1}:
Below the board are my cubbies/mailboxes.  On top of those you can see my Sparklers {table points} and Secret Star incentives!

Right next to my cubby area I have some other little management tools and a space for making and displaying anchor charts:
Everything you see here is from my TpT shop...

Next to the space above, I have open chalkboard space for writing.  If you keep going along the board, you'll land here:
This is where I display jobs, classroom rules, and our behavior chart.

Another look at the rules/clip chart:
And a wider look at this space:
The wall leads to our calendar area which you'll see in the next couple pics.  On the shelf I keep baskets filled with various handouts for the week.  Inside the cubbies are our center bins and student book boxes:
Moving back up, here is my calendar board {Wall #2}:
At the suggestion of my Insta friends, I put a banner in the blank space above the month.  I think it looks fabulous!! Thanks, friends :)

Now for a picture of the full bulletin board:
As you can see, the other half of the board is our focus wall:
I *love* this set!  The headers and objectives were just what I needed to create an eye-catching focus board.  I hole-punched the objectives and hung them using binder rings.  Maybe one day I will put up Science and Social Studies standards... but today was not that day, ha.

Onto my "teacher nook," which you can see in the above pictures.  This is the wall above my desk, edited a little bit to keep names private:

My memo board is cluttered and it's fantastic!  I love my space... especially the photo of my girl in front of the computer :)
Pink overload! :)

Moving along, we come to our birthday board, which I also edited to be free of names:

It has to be cupcakes to be a proper birthday display :)  And isn't the banner too cute?!

Now we have reached the sink area:
Tissues fit perfectly on the middle shelves, and I keep bottles of soap and "hanitizer" in the baskets on the sides!  The cabinets are filled with plates, napkins, cleaning supplies, etc.

If we skip a wall of new windows and my teacher aide's desk... we find the library {Wall #3}:
The rug and mini disc chairs are from Big Lots a few years ago, and the stools are from Ikea.  I *love* these little magnetic display shelves from Lakeshore-- they are great for displaying holiday books!  To the left is my book cart {also from Lakeshore} and center rotation:
To the right is big book storage:
We have almost made a complete circle around the room!  This is where I meet with small groups, and where my firsties keep their belongings {Wall #4}:
Behind the big doors is my student closet.  I decided to make a "Word Closet" this year and brighten up the big brown space with colorful words!  The letter cards are in my TpT shop!

The yellow table is the perfect size for my room, and for sitting with guided reading groups. I ordered it from Quill; it was reasonably priced, and came quickly.  The yellow edges and legs fit in nicely with my brightly colored classroom!
To the right of the table is an easel with chart paper, and a shelf with games/puzzles.  To the left is my filing cabinet, which doubles as a display for our weekly words and big book:
And that's my tour!  If you keep going, you will walk right out the door:
{Psst!  I won the door contest this year!!!}

I hope it was worth the two month wait! ;) Have a great night!!
Fall is upon us {and Halloween is just around the corner} and that means it's time for a little teacher Trick & Treat action!

That's right-- Trick AND Treat!!  I've teamed up with my Freebielicious girls once again to share a teaching trick and special free treat!  Better than candy, right?!  At least... it's better for the waistline ;)

First I will share my TRICK with you.  It's nothing crazy and it's not too fancy, but it WILL keep you from being trampled during line ups!

My kiddos love to line up on top of the classroom door.  To prevent this, I used to say, "Line up behind the black squares!" over and over. {See the funky Halloween floor pattern below.}  Most days my friends wouldn't listen, and I'd be climbing over kids to get to the door.  Until one day, I stepped into a friend's classroom and saw something like this:

Upon first glance, it's just pink duct tape blocking off a rectangle of space by the classroom door.  But if you look closely, you'll see that it's actually a MAGIC rectangle, aka The Magic Box.  Kiddos can't step into The Magic Box during line up... not without permission!  If a little one accidentally steps beyond the pink tape, another student will QUICKLY remind him/her that you cannot step into The Magic Box until the teacher says.  See?  Magic!

Now I have plenty of space to stand in the front of the line, lock the door, call the rest of the tables, pick a Secret Star, do jumping jacks, breakdance... whatever I want!

And now I will share my TREAT with you.  It's a Roll and Color Witch printable!  It should do the trick and keep your little ones entertained for a minute or two ;)

This little witchy activity coordinates with my newest craft, Little Witch Kids!  It's 20% off for the rest of the night if you're looking for something fun to do this week!

Now hop along to the next blog for another Trick & Treat goodie!!
